Before placing a pet up for adoption, please consider the following suggestions:
*make sure the new environment is suitable for the pet's disposition (tolerates other pets, children, etc.)
*consider charging an adoption fee (this fee can be done in the form of a donation to a local shelter). An adoption fee will often discourage individuals from adopting the pet who may not have the best of intentions (e.g. research, dog fight bait, etc. - unfortunately this does happen!).
**PLEASE NOTE - Acting in the best interest of these pets, we will no longer accept postings with the word FREE in the subject line or listing. As mentioned above, we strongly encourage individuals to not offer pets for adoption for FREE due to ill intentions of some individuals.**
